ABOUT

Hi! I'm Heather, a native Texan currently living in and enjoying Europe. I live in Germany with my sweet husband and our little 4-legged baby boy, Dublin. I believe every day is a wonderful gift, not to be wasted.

I enjoy taking photos and documenting our life. In the last 2 years, working out has become an amazing outlet for me. Currently, I am practicing Yoga daily, Bodyrocking, and generally just trying to be healthy by staying active. On that note, I am learning to fuel myself (and Jason) with things that are as natural as possible and good for our bodies. You might find recipes we like or work-outs I enjoy, on the blog.

Our current location allows us to travel to some pretty amazing places and we are taking advantage of every possibility that we can, as often as we can. I am from a small, little town in Texas, so visiting Europe was really nothing more than a dream. I have always wanted to see the world, but I never thought it would be realized. So, I guess you could say, it's a dream come true. By now you should know, I'm kind of a cheeseball.

Since you all now know I am really a bit of a nerd, I suppose I can tell you that I love One Tree Hill and watch it over and over. It is usually what I can be found doing, while editing photos or crafting, anytime Jason happens to be away/out of town.

I also really love fashion. I can usually still be found dressing my jeans up or down, most days. Germany has taught me how to accessorize in the winter. I love a good jacket, paired with the right accessories. And, no outfit is complete without a nice color painted onto my lips. You will likely find me wearing a bright red or pink.

I also love: New York City, art, embroidery, food,  a good beat and lyrics to go with
& foreign language.

J really enjoys his job. He puts his all into any and all projects he starts, works on or finishes and I love that!

J loves his music. We currently have, I think, every genre of music possible on his iPhone, for listening while we are driving about Europe. You never know what you're going to get on any given day. J loves surprises. I usually ruin them. ;)

A few other things he enjoys: cultivating his style, volunteering, baseball, finding new movies and shows, & making the most of everything (I've learned a lot from this guy!).

Our little boy, Dublin, is 6 years old and still as playful as ever! He loves his bouncy ball and his froggie toy, currently. Nothing makes Dublin happier than a nice, long walk with Mommy & Daddy, and we are more than happy to oblige him on a nice day. This little boy has brought us tons of joy and he is more than enough baby for us, right now.

We love to travel! Before living in Europe, we loved taking little day trips or short trips here and there. Europe has just broadened that in so many ways!

J & I are pretty big foodies. We generally eat pretty healthy, but you will definitely find food photos on this blog that are well, not so healthy. When we travel, for us, eating the local fare is a huge part of experiencing a place. We also love cooking together and finding new recipes and photographing the cooking and plating process.

We love a good bottle of wine. Thankfully, we live in a place where wine is a plenty and cheap, but still so good!

Jason and I are pretty big movie people. J more than I, I have to say. We do love a good flick, though. We are a bit behind sometimes, because of our current location. I think the pros of living here, certainly outweigh the cons. ;)

We love TV, but don't necessarily watch all the newer stuff. Some of our favorites include: Once Upon a Time, The New Girl, Blue Bloods, Covert Affairs, & White Collar.

AND, we are pretty big Disney fans. One trip to Disney was all it took. :) We look forward to Walt Disney World, when we get back to the States.

I hope you'll stick around and enjoy my little slice of life.
