Stuttgart Weihnachtsmarkt.

J & I had had a little vacay down to Stuttgart this week. Of course, while there, we visited their Christmas market...Out of all the markets we went to this year, this one was my favorite. It was big, but not overwhelming. It was busy but not cram-packed crowded. The food was good. The atmosphere was great! I loved Stuttgart's Weihnachtsmarkt!

Rudolfplatz Market, Cologne.

Our last stop in Cologne was perhaps the main reason I wanted us to go to Cologne. Rudolfplatz Market was Grimm Fairy Tales themed! I can't wait to buy the book I found on base and read all the German tales. If you are unaware, German fairy tales aren't all candy and sweetness, they are actually scary most times..

We didn't have a stop off from the trolley train to get to this one, so we had quite a little walk. Lucky for us, the decorated shopping streets were fabulous to look at along the way.

After this one, we stopped at STARBUCKS, which we don't have near us, so we try to get it every chance we go out and about..and then headed back to the closest trolley stop and took it back to the Dom and then, walked to the car to drive back home. It was a wonderful, fun-filled, Christmas-y day!

Father Christmas.

Angel Market, Cologne.

Our fancy little transportation.. :)

Harbour Christmas Market, Cologne.

The Harbour Christmas Market was overlooking the Rhine River, at the Lindt Chocolate Museum. We didn't get to visit the museum (this time...), but the market was in a beautiful location!

We tried our first flammlach (flaming salmon). The salmon is cooked on wood planks over a fire and served on bread with either a mustard or, what we chose, a dill mayo type spread. It is very good!

We also got to see a Noah's Ark, on display, which we thought was pretty cool.

Alter Market, Cologne.

Stop three was Alter Market. This one was in the older part of the city and had an elf theme. We loved this one!
